The first game developed by Bluepoint Games, Blast Factor was one of only two downloadable titles available upon the release of Sony's PlayStation 3® (PS3) console. Blast Factor boasts a profusion of enemies and equipment, seamlessly integrates the SIXAXIS Tilt Controller and makes full use of the PS3's graphics capability, running at 60 FPS in high-definition (1080p) resolution.

Blast Factor offers branching levels of difficulty so that game play is adjusted based on the player's performance. Blast Factor offers gamers online rankings and high scores.

Blast Factor was launched in Japan on November 17, 2006, the day the PS3 became available to gamers, and was launched in the U.S. and Europe shortly thereafter. Blast Factor is published by Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. and is currently available exclusively for the PS3 platform.
